Went down to spend some time with cruelest_month (and maybe about 10 minutes in jenavira's company (not counting this morning when I was trying to sorta-sleep while she puttered around the kitchen).

had a nice visit with April. Went to the good used DVD store, and bought myself a copy of Fortress on my continued quest to OWN ALL THE JEFFREY COMBS THINGS!

So, actually, been in Madison the past couple days. It was cruelest_month's birthday! So we gots together with Jen and Hatt.

There was much eating, drinking, rejoicing, geeking and playing of "Arkham Horror." Went shopping, went to Dobra, all lovely things. I made an awesome fangirl score at the Pre Play and bought four Jeffrey Combs movies for under $15! Whee ( Read more... )

Spent the weekend at cruelest_month's. It was ungodly hot. Played lots of nostalgic arcades. Tried our hands at the TRON arcade.... yeah, that did not go well at all. WTF were those controls!? Ah well, always knew I'd suck at Light Cycles. And omg! The X-Men arcade! "Welcome to Die!" BWAHAHAHAHAHA And oh man, Super Off Road! Favorite racing game. Always played ( Read more... )

Saturday: cruelest-month arrived earlier than I anticipated. Not her fault. All the same, was a bit flustered, unprepared and a bit scattered in my packing. Arrived in Madison, armed with a box of Puffs Kleenex. Tried desperately not to die. Almost didn't manage after eating at T.G.I.Fridays when I started feeling nauseous. Traffic in to Chicago was horrible yesterday afternoon. Stupid construction. Finally, they get done with I-90 in IL, now they had to start on I-290, making a drive down to cruelest-month's still frustrating.

Had quite a fantastic time in Madison this weekend. Went to a party and saw lots of old college friends, and had an amazingly green drink called a Fuzzy Frog, but looked remarkably like what I imagine a Pan Galactic Gargle Blaster to look like.
